Giles is a qualified lawyer who has spent the bulk of his career managing Legal, Regulatory and Company Secretarial departments within large corporates in the UK. He spent ten years in the aviation sector as General Counsel and Company Secretary of easyJet plc, prior to which he worked in the TMT sector for eleven years managing the legal teams at Cable & Wireless plc and at Onetel. He started his career as a competition and anti-trust lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
Currently Giles splits his time between working as a consultant with 3Kites Consulting, providing advice to in-house legal teams on improving their working practices while also undertaking part time legal advisory roles. In the past few years, he has acted as Company Secretary and General Counsel to Share plc in the financial services sector and AccorInvest in the property/hotels sector. He is married with three children and in his spare time coaches junior rugby and cricket teams at local clubs as well as undertaking trustee roles for certain local charities and voluntary organisations.
